Even this year Piani di Clodia has decided to join the project '67 Columns for the Arena di Verona', for the 100th Arena di Verona - Opera Festival. Born in 2021 following the missed opera season due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the initiative is aimed at strengthening the economic relationship between the Fondazione Arena and the city of Verona and its territory.
Now in its third year after winning the VI Art Bonus competition promoted by the Ministry of Culture in 2022, the fundraising project consists in the symbolic reconstruction of the outer walls of the Roman Amphitheatre, destroyed by an earthquake in 1117: the purchase by donor companies of a symbolic column represents a contribution to the preservation and restoration of the Arena and the promotion of culture and art in the city of Verona.
Even this year the only Holiday Park & Leading Camping on Lake Garda Piani di Clodia has decided to join this important and significant initiative, demonstrating its constant commitment to the city of Verona, to culture and to the entire territory, while at the same time enhancing one of the most important historical monuments in Italy, which in summer turns into the largest and most beautiful open-air theatre in the world. Culture and art are fundamental elements for the social and economic development of the territory and this is why Piani di Clodia participates in this initiative that promotes the conservation and enhancement of the city's cultural heritage as a leadership patron, i.e. among the companies that have a coordinating function for the aims of the membership, suggest actions to be taken and, together with the advisors, may recommend new members to be invited. We would like to remind all our guests that on June 16th, 2023 the 100th anniversary of the Arena di Verona - Opera Festival has begun with the new production of Giuseppe Verdi's Aida, staging 50 evenings of opera and 4 special events, including the Arena debuts of Juan Diego Florez and the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra.
